Breaking Glass

This collection of photographs was taken using fast shutter speeds and successive photos taken as a pane of glass was broken by a golf ball. The geometric lines, highlighted by the sun as it is sculpted by the prismatic edges of broken glass, are juxtaposed against the soft playful nature seen in the flowers and shrubs that form the backdrop of the images. Accompanying the photos in this piece, there is a video of a companion piece,Pound Cake .This performance piece captures the creation of the ball used in breaking glass, from a Sara Lee pound cake container.
